First Lady’s Plane Has To Make Emergency Landing

First Lady Melania Trump took off from Andrews Air Force Base en route to Philadelphia Wednesday morning but the plane had to return a short time later for an emergency landing.

According to KPLC:

(RNN) – First lady Melania Trump was en route to Philadelphia Wednesday morning when her plane returned to Joint Base Andrews because of a mechanical issue, multiple media outlets are reporting.

The plane was 10 minutes into the flight when Secret Service agents suddenly jumped up and ran to the front of the plane.

Reports of smoke in the cockpit are filtering through media outlets from reporters who were on board.

There are no reports of injuries and the plane landed safely back at Andrews at 9:05 a.m. ET.

 

It is reported that towels were handed out to protect the passengers from the smoke. Thankfully the plane was able to return safely and everyone on board was uninjured.
